Apple Music, newcomer to streaming services, broadened the horizons and landed on Android devices Monday.

Apple Music Comes To Android As An Emissary

This is not the first time Apple has made its apps available for Android. In September, with the release of iOS 9, Apple introduced an app in the Google Play Store, Move to iOS, for the first time allowing Android users to switch their photos, messages, and contacts helping users make the switch from Android seamlessly, and later released, Beats Pill+, which allowed the phone to function as a remote control to users’ Beats Pill speaker.

To access the Apple Music app, Android devices must be updated to Android 4.3 and up. Users also need an Apple Id which can be set up on icloud.com.

While Android users get access to over 30 million songs in the Apple Music library, the app does not play their Android music files.

The design is similar to iOS with many pages looking exactly the same but the app uses an Android layout.
