Homeless people are the usual priority, but what about unwanted animals?

Each day, hundreds if not thousands of unwanted pets are abandoned at animals shelters all across the United States. The reasons for abandonment of these beloved pets vary in reasoning for each case such as moving, financial expenses, and more. Animals shelters are created all over the cities to house these unwanted animals.

It seems as though in New York City, there is more attention focused onto the problem of homeless people. Animals should not be forgotten. They might not have a voice but they have lives that should be worth living.

In New York City, many non-for-profit shelters are created to house animals surrendered by their owners. Private animals shelters are featured all around the city housing cats and dogs, sometimes rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and snakes as well.
