NBC, Blake Shelton Organize Oklahoma Tornado Benefit Concert

On Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice,” Judge Blake Shelton, an Oklahoma native, announced that he, along with NBC’s help, was organizing a benefit concert for victims of the deadly tornado that hit the state earlier this week.

He didn’t give many details, but said the concert would be televised and his connections within the industry would give it a great lineup.

The show opened with silence after NBC aired a one-hour special about the tornado and its impact upon Moore, Oklahoma. Shelton and Miranda Lambert performed an acoustic version of Lambert’s hit song, “Over You” as donation information scrolled on the bottom of the screen.
