A Portrait of Spike Lee

Artist Renaldo Davidson created this portrait of legendary filmmaker Spike Lee. The piece shows a blue-faced Lee holding an old-school camera; with titles of his films scribbled onto the camera. Davidson documents Lee wearing his trademark Yankee baseball cap and eye glasses.

Spike Lee is known for films, such as Do the Right Thing, Crooklyn, and most recently Miracle at St. Anna–a film about African American soldiers who fought during World War II.

The piece is apart of Davidson’s exhibit in Downtown Brooklyn and one of many works featuring Lee.
