A Shot at ‘New Yorking’ Boston

Danny Meyer, owner of the beloved eatery Shake Shack, the main branch located in Madison Square Park, wants to open a branch in Boston. Shake Shack is as famous for its great food as it is for the long lines consumers stand in just to get some lunch. Despite its 3 locations in New York, Meyer is in line with other restauranteurs to revamp a former public men’s restroom in Boston Commons, a move which Abby Goodnough calls, “a bold foray into a city that famously loathes New York and its icons. ”

Shake Shack is in competition with a New England style seafood restaurant. Will Boston embrace business from its most notorious metropolis?
